Nice words about The Vigilantes:

www.kink-records.de
“80s punk with distorted guitars. A bit slower one time, just to spread thier energy in the next moment. Melodies are never missed and songs like “Punkrock hall of fame” or “Dead City” are true ear catchers, which is amplified by the polyphonic refrain.”

“Streetpunk is their device and they are staying true to it the whole record long. Just as long as there are bands like the Vigilantes, we won´t have to worry about difficulties in finding young talents.”

www.ghetto-rock.com
“12 songs of fresh-sounding, singalong Streetpunk from Sweden with some slight Oi! & Folk influences comparable to Voice Of A Generation, early Rancid and Bombshell Rocks.

“It´s real good music, a lot of punkspirit with a lot of rock´n´roll and they are thirsty, with a lot of energy and fun playing music. They also got good lyrics, REAL working class. Drinking, women, but also something else than just posing and phrases like usual for bands that pose at the cover with empty whisky bottles, undershirt, tattoos and things like this. For me some hits are missing, but this record is a good substitute, somewhere between bones and rancid, cool! (8 out of 10 points)”

“Empty Bottles and Broken Hearts” (German Import—this is a great new Swedish band, not the one from the USA to avoid confusion. Melodic and poppy at times, they have a real old style Rancid sound to ‘em, then at times you can hear the Sham 69 type of influences as well. If you’re a fan of what we used to call the SF streetpunk sound that TKO put out in the ‘90s, then I’d get this if I was you. Quickly.)

SCARRED FOR LIFE (E-zine www.scarred-for-life.de): THE VIGILANTES - Empty Bottles And Broken Hearts (CD) The young swedish guys of the Vigilantes taking things on „Empty bottles and broken hearts“ with much ambition. Streetpunk is the device and the whole record long they stay true to this device. A little bit of U.S. Bombs here, a little bit of the sound of rancid there and songs like “Dead City” and “ I won´t die for you” are made. Although the independence stays a bit in the background and some parts could be a little bit tighter, but in the end they made a real good job. Just as long as there are bands like the Vigilantes, we won´t have to worry about difficulties in finding young talents...
